Why Green Media Awards?
The motivation is to promote and sustain media coverage on the environment in Malawi and accelerate the agenda for sustainable utilization of Malawi’s natural resources.

  Eligibility
All journalists practising in Malawi are eligible to apply, however, AEJ members will have an added advantage. Each Journalist is eligible to submit a minimum of two stories per category for a maximum of three categories.

  Language
The jury will entertain materials in English and Chichewa only.

Agriculture (nutrition, irrigation e.t.c), Best blogger / On-line journalists, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction, Energy, Forestry, Green Media House of the year, Mining, The Green Documentary, The Green Investigative/Accountability award, The Green Photojournalist of the year, Waste Management and Pollution, Water and Sanitation, Wildlife,

APPLICATION FORM - FAJIM PHASE TWO

Following the successful launch of "Sounding The Alarm. "Malawi's Forests on the Brink" Investigative Dossier Part 1. The Association of Environmental Journalists (AEJ) is again receiving applications from Malawian journalists interested in investigating the forestry sector. Stories from successful investigations will be published in the second edition of "Sounding The Alarm: Malawi’s Forests on the Brink" Investigative Dossier. Priority will be given to members of AEJ as well as non-members who come up with interesting pitches. An approved pitch will receive a grant of up to MK 500,000.00. Applicants who have more complex assignments that require more resources should still apply. Inter-media house / joint projects are welcome. Female journalists are encouraged to apply!
